Major commercial city in the Spanish Netherlands. Location of the Nutius/Moretus printing press, where several of Lapide's commentaries were published. Charles Scribani, Jesuit Provincial Superior, issued printing permissions from Antwerp. Egbert Spitholdius served as Canon and Parish Priest here.
